When we started Miller's Melodies years ago, we committed ourselves to giving you the best service possible. That has not changed. To achieve this committment, we need to know your expectations and goals so we can work together to achieve them.
We still believe that it takes both parties to make an event a success. We are here to advise and guide you when you are unsure of what you want. You are hiring us to play the music and have people enjoy it. We do not want to take your place as the one in charge.
Working together reduces the stress and strain involved in any event. Be it large or small. We are here to make your dreams your reality. We all want any event to run smoothly and be a joyful memory for everyone attending.
We have a large variety of music from some 40's up to the present, along with Country and Doo Wop.Our library continually grows, therefore, we do not put it online. We do not do hip hop,rap or new age type music. Being of the "baby boomer" generation we stick to more conventional music.
We will not do music with "bad lyrics". By this we mean, anything with evident sexual or controversial context, including foul words. We do not want children hearing this type of music from us and I doubt you do either. This is the one big rule we have in playing for anyone.
We keep our prices down to a minimum because this is not how we "make our living." This is just the fun part of our life and we love what we do ! ! We do not want to price gouge anyone, but we must make a modest profit to take care of our equipment. We do not wear tuxedo's or have DVD's to give out as this is an added expense we feel we can do without. We do dress appropriately for each event (dress clothing for weddings, etc., and casual for dances). We feel our music should be heard, but we should not be conspicuous. This is your event and we want everyone to know that. We are the entertainment portion only.
